The Performing Arts Initiative for Students of Color (PAISOC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization aiming to provide scholarships, leadership training, and educational opportunities to students of color currently participating in performing arts activities.
PAISOC specifically aims to:
Promote diversity in the arts by telling the stories of people of color specifically impacted by their participation in arts programming.
Provide scholarships to black, latinx, asian american, pacific islander, and native american students for the purposes of tuition and other program related expenses
Increase the number of people of color participating in performing arts programs in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts
Provide mentorship and guidance to scholarship recipients to promote life lasting experiences and lessons
Sponsor and promote educational opportunities

PAISOC aims to raise MONEY AND FUND students who are actively participating in or have plans to participate in a performing arts PROGRAM in 2018. SCHOLARSHIPS can be used for tuition purposes or other related expenses.

getting ready for a summer with the drum and bugle corps of your dreams? Paisoc wants to help you! Paisoc will be awarding up to $1000 to a student of color marching in a drum and bugle corps in summer 2018. All positions (brass, percussion, color guard, and conductors) are encouraged to apply.
Applications will be accepted beginning april 1, 2018 and considerations will be made until may 1, 2018. At that time, a paisoc member will contact you should you be chosen to receive the scholarship.
